I'm curious by nature: new languages, new stories, new ways of making things, if it's unfamiliar, I want to understand it from the inside. Right now that means slowly working through Korean, building a genre-blending universe I've spent years planning and am only now properly drafting, and putting together travel guides for places I've been and places I haven't reached yet, this first one included. It's also why this site exists at all: built with an AI collaborator doing the heavy lifting while I steer, write the words, and occasionally admit I had no idea what a subdomain was until last week. Different projects, same instinct underneath.

Why share any of this?

No catch. I'm not selling anything, and there's no pitch waiting at the bottom of this page.

Here's the actual reason: it's easy to assume you've missed the window, that learning something new or making something is a young person's game, or a professional's, or someone else's. I don't think that's true, and saying so felt weaker than just doing it in public. Korean, a whole fictional universe, travel guides for places I've barely reached yet: none of it started because I was already good at it. It started because I got curious and decided that was reason enough.

If any of it's useful to you, that's the whole ask: that it nudges you toward the thing you've been putting off because you've decided it's too late, too silly, or not your lane.

Right now that curiosity has three places to land: a genre-blending universe I'm building from scratch, book one still mid-draft. Its own home at croigharda.com is still under construction, so for now this is where the story lives. A travel companion, the first of what I hope will be several, starting with South Korea & Jeju. And original music, under Music. Follow whichever thread interests you, I won't be offended if it's not all three.
